As the nights draw in I am finding my LCI having feable ligtes too - they are stock H7's.

I've been looking on eBay and ther are HID kits for ?100 or so - are they any good and how easy are they to fit? Are they legal and will the auto adjusters etc work? I appreciate that they won't be adaptive or swivelling but I don't want the car to fail MOT's (when that coms around) or be stopped and fined... ;-)

I've seen HIDS4U's website and they loo good but expensive. Any ideas??

Timwa - what did you buy and where from?

Which HID kit did you use?

I found a Philips xenon kit for $269, is this the best deal? to me it seems as it is, because Philips is obviously a very reputable company.

hi do you mind me asking where you got the little clip you used to hold the bulb in place? its usually a round ring with a cut out on these, but the clip you've used looks a lot less fidly.
thanks

Looks like he did not cut it either, to me anyways..how did you get on the new light assembly without cutting it to slip it over? Or is your cut just not visible in the pics?

Did you have auto height adjustment for the halogens?

I believe it is mandatory for Xenons right?

Nice mod!

Hello guys,

I know this thread is old but I am still not sure how to do what the OP did. Is it just a matter of swapping out light bulbs?

I've just got a 2008 E60 and would like to replace the standard halogen with xenon.

Thanks!

Not sure if the OP is around anymore... But would you be able to take a picture of how the cutoff of the beam against a wall looks like?
