napa and autozone both have them on their websites - however neither stores nor websites will actually sell them. around 250 after core deposit is back, but apparently available nowhere. alloembmwparts.com has a reman for 430 and the dealer a new one for like, 630 yowza. is there an affordable one out there anywhere !?

Take a look at the parts shops that specialize in european parts. They usually carry OES (Original Equipment Supplier)parts. These parts are virtually identical to what you would find at the dealer, however, much less expensive. For example, I sourced a fog lamp housing for my 07 525xi through one of these shops. The dealer wanted $180.00. I paid $108. The part was absolutely identical including the part number except BMW marking was missing.
