where can i find remote power?????? help!!

hi

im installing a amp and sub in boot i have power and ground from battery all i need is a remote power which is usually on headunit blue wire, but im wondering if there is anthing in the boot or close i can take a signal from, just needs to be ignition power really so when key is out it goes off,

please can someone help??????????

Use the boot lighter socket as your remote, that comes on only when the engine is running which may serve your purpose.

What year is your car. Because if you don't have a lighter in the boot you can take the feed that is supposed to power the socket from the rear fuse box itself. Look at the link in my signature for adding power socket in the rear cabin of my car, that also has a picture to show you the power lines you can use for your purpose. Bruce.

I have an infinity powered subwoofer. I used the positive on one of the rear speaker output as remote. It works when I turned my entertainment on and turns off when I turn it off. Although because of some static the power comes on when you remote open the trunk but goes out after 30 sec. Mine is working well up to now. I hope this helps...

You used a speaker output as a remote power on for your amp!! I don't think thats a good idea. Speaker carry AC current whereas your amp is needs a DC power trigger. It will work but not recommended.
