What brake light bulbs for LCI tails?

What model is the brake light bulbs for the e60 LCI?
I have been thinking about upgrading them to LED but i am unable to find what type is used.

just noticed that this is probably in the wrong section, could it be moved somehow?

That will probably require the addition of a resistor ... a standard process when replacing a standard bulb, that is monitored by our car's computers, with LEDs.

Lots of posts on the subject.

As for the bulb type - in my experience since mid-year changes often happen - it's always best to remove any bulb you want to replace (even if it's for a burn-out) to confirm the style and bulb number/type.

The LCI brake bulb type is BA15S or 1156.
Tsaros will probably use NCS to disable the cold and hot monitoring - no resisitors required. Have aleady done this for my front indicators.

Be sure to buy red LED bulbs - I tried white ones (to have max lumens) buy it distorted the color through the red lenses. Looking for some red ones myself now.

You are correct that i will disable the monitoring instead of using resistors and stuff.
I was just about to order white ones, thank you once again for the heads up, I will give red ones a shoot
