Hi,

I am trying to install a aftermarket video interface for rear camera and trying to find a 12v "ACC" power to the video interface and 12v power for the rear camera. My inital thought was getting ACC 12v power from cigarette lighter but after reading some posts from other members. Someone mentioned the best clean and safe ways without cutting any wire would be doing fuse tap "add a circuit" to fuse box. Can somone tell me if add a circuit would be a best alternative for this situation and in fact the video interface is so close to the fuse box.
My other question is about installation. Is that true all i need to is hardware the video interface "ACC" red wire and the rear camera power cable to ONE or TWO "add a circuit" lines and plug into one of the existing fuse slot? But the fuse tap has two fuse slot there? How does that think work really? How would I know what Amp for the video interface "ACC" red wire?

Thanks.

There are safe and clean ways to tap in to a 12v ACC or 12v Batt wire - and its alot less work compared to running the wires all the way to the fuse panel.

Most aftermarket car electronics have fuse connectors built in to the 12v lead anyway.
