its easier/cheaper to just buy 1500 grit sand paper and 2000 grit and then the meguirs plastx
i have done this many times on cars i have owned supras, vipers, 530i comes out perfect everytime.
Not really easier. The 3m kit uses round sandpaper and a drill so you dont have to manually run your hand back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, back and forth.

My headlights could use a good polishing soon... so far they are scuffed up from all the tiny pebbles.
