This happened to me when I upgraded a friend's E60 from 17s to 18s. I put my hands on the 9 and 3 clock positions on the wheel and rocked them off.

NOTE: Keep all limbs away from the underside of the vehicle while you're doing any of the above recommendations, ESPECIALLY if you're using the wimpy factory jack. It is very possible for the car to fall off the jack while you're trying to get a tire off. It goes without saying that you should have the wheel on the opposite corner chocked in both directions and the ebrake on.

be safe.

unscrew the lug nut about 4 turns. MAKE SURE the lug nuts are still threaded in. now inch the car back and forth slowly. it should loosen the wheel.
Not sure that this is the best way to do it, I would suggest doing what myfootsmells suggested and kick the tire at 12 and 6 oclock once the lugs have been removed.

Leave one lug nut half way on and then get a rubber mallot and hit the tire from the inside.

don't pull. think of the face of the wheel as a clock. kick the 12:00 position then 6:00 keep going around, it'll come off.

michael

A neat trick to avoid standing and kicking your wheel like a moron
Grab another wheel, take a wide stance, swing the wheel between your legs and hit the stuck wheel. 6, 12, 3, 9 oclock. (Tire facing against stuck wheel)
A swing or two usually does it.

Caution! Do not swing the wheel into the fender, nasty bumps may occur

its the quickest and easiest way. Just make sure the wheel wouldnt be riding on the lug bolt. inch the car slowly.
