After posting some pics of the ride and getting the overwhelming response that I need to paint the rotors and brakes, I go out and get all the stuff I need and get down to business and I cant get the fu*%#ng tire off. All the lug nuts are off and the tire spins freely but it wont come off. I was pulling on it pretty hard and it didnt budge!!!! I should say that I am just leaving the car up on the included jack so I didnt want to get too crazy with the pulling and side to side motion. Any help?? thanks

don't pull. think of the face of the wheel as a clock. kick the 12:00 position then 6:00 keep going around, it'll come off.

Had the same problem a few weeks ago. BMW service advisor told me their techs use a rubber mallet and hit from the inside at the 6:00 position. Took some hitting, but popped they loose.

Sit on the ground, take your size 10 Nike's and just hit the tire with the bottoms of your feet

Trust me it works. Seems that the steel rotor hub and the alloy wheels (two dissimilar metals making contact stick together after a while due to uneven rates of oxidation/corrosion) "seize" from the corrosion after a awhile and you need to be a little physical to get them apart.

Now if you want to do it right when the wheels go back on, smear "Lubro Moly Anti Seize Compound" on the hubs where the wheel makes contact . Next time you take them off it will be considerably less effort (if any) and hardly any rust/corrosion. (You can get it online from Bavarian Autosport or www.bavauto.com

I think we all go through this the first time we change a tire on our cars and yell WTF!

unscrew the lug nut about 4 turns. MAKE SURE the lug nuts are still threaded in. now inch the car back and forth slowly. it should loosen the wheel.

Safety issues aside, that WILL deform the hub on the disk and possibly gouge the threads of lug bolts depending how loose they are because the beveled edges of the lugs that support the wheel in the holes are no longer centered
