Again, you have all come to my aid and helped me achieve my goal. Thank you for that!!! I asked for step by step instructions on changing rear brakes and Gene found me the instructions posted a few months ago by fellow member mnmike. Well, i was able to complete the entire job in 1.5 hours when I have NEVER changed brakes in my life. So, again, thank you. Why did I do my first job on a bmw?....because I lost faith in my service dept and decided to become more proactive in doing things that I probably could do on my own (with forum members' guidance of course).

That being said, the same exact thing that happened to mnmike happened to me...when i reset the system, it went to -15,000 miles and telling me to go to bmw. Any ideas how to reset it successfully (everything went smooth and all pieces fit beautifully, including the new sensor).

Thanks again
