thanks for the reply. i have been using a long cable but its messy. i have one now thats a "Y" cable and about 12" long which would make it perfect if i had a aux input by the shifter since theres a cig. outlet in the ash tray and the small cubby in front of the shifter where i can set my phone down and also have easy access to it without having a mile of wires laying around.

maybe i'll remove the rear one and run the longer wire from that to the front (through the center console) and use something like this:
http://www.parts-express.com/pe/show...number=090-317

to make another output in the front. only thing is the only jacks i can find are the ones you have to hard wire, does anyone know where a can get a F to F jack?

thanks

ok, so i figured out how to take the panel out and now i have another idea. i'm thinking about taking the center console out and actually taking the whole AUX unit (with PC and installing into the blank under the trunk release. i'll let you guys know how that goes.

now i just have to figure out how to get the center console out :/

Take pictures when you do it, and If you can't find a female-to-female cord, you can pick one of these up online or at radio shack to perform the male to female sex change.

well the plan was to have a actual jack installed in the trim piece so that wouldn't work but change of plans now anyway. i'll try to get the center console out and maybe i'll get a better idea of what my options are.

is there a write up on getting the console out? i have a 08 535i LCI BTW.
