Hey there, Ive searched around the forums and couldnt find a good answer for this so I figured I would just ask...

What is a good way to clean out the sunroof drains? I have started to hear my drains begin to "gurgle" dont even know if thats a word when it rains and I have the sunroof tilted or after I wash the car and drive off. I really enjoy driving with the roof tilted and open so Im sure alot of junk has accumulated in there possibly. Any help is greatly appreciated.

thanks!

I've read about people blowing air with an air compressor in the drains to blow out dirt etc, but I've also read that this can actually blow off the tubes from the sunroof frame. If you blow off the tubes, you have to take the headliner and pillar covers off to re install it.. Other than that, I'm not sure how you would clean the drains.

..Another thought is to locate the rear drain tubes and remove the little tips on them. A lot of times the tips on the tube ends get clogged with dirt. To do this , you have to remove a panel on the passengers side, and for the drivers side, you have to go around the muffler to reach it.

...my sunroof has started to rattle when open (tilted up or all the way open). Anyone have advice on how to adjust the roof or the parts inside to eliminate the rattle?

Does it sound like a metal bonking sound? When my sunroof is tilted up, sometimes it will make a weird metal rattling sound when going over bumpy roads. At first I thought the noise was coming from the rear of the car, but realized it only happens when the sunroof is tilted up. I think the sound is the actual sunroof itself

Read this guys:

I cut some small rectangle pieces of soft velcro and stuck them on the edges of the wind deflector where it would bonk against the glass when going over bumps in the road. Hopefully this will work, I will give an update over the weekend...
