I have a 2007 550i automatic and I installed the Sprint Booster last weekend. As soon as I started the car, it chugged a few times and the the engine light came on saying "have engine serviced soon" and that the car would operate with reduced power. When I removed the SB, the light stayed on and I had to take the car into the dealer to have the light re-set.

I followed the install instructions and I have the correct SB made for automatics. Has anyone experienced this problem?

Thanks

Did you try the reset?

Search the forum for 25 second reset. That should do it I hope.

No I did not try the 25 second re-set. I'll do a search and see what I find.

Thanks.

Sounds like you have the plug connected wrong. The same thing happened when I installed mine; found out I had the connector plugged in wrong.....rotated 180 degrees and it solved the problem.

Does the SB effect your warranty status? when you bring your car to the dealer for service, do they notice it? if yes, do they say anything about any warranty issue?

thanks.
