You can install softclose an all 5 series 2004-2010.
2004-2007 (1-3-2007)
In the driver door all holes are pre made, in the remaining 3 doors you need to drille 3 hols.
2007-2010
All dores are pre drilled from the factory.
No coding involved, since they only need to have 12v and ground.

Those parts which you have found on ebay won't fit your E60 .You need (for the front doors) part number 51217202151 and 51217202156 for the door lock mechanisms with their adapter plates parts (51217174631 and 51217174632) and for the rear doors part numbers (51227202157 and 51227202158) also with their adapters (51227174633 and 51227174634). Take a look in the below diagram at numbers 18 and 19 to understand what are you looking for. Hope I helped you a little Front door control/door lock BMW 5' E60 Facelift, 530i (N52N)
