pretty much what the title says...i'm about to get a H7 HID kit for my headlights and havn't really found anything positive about it
from what i've read, they'll flicker/not turn on/indicate the lights are out and whatever else in the book
I just got an '08 E60 and trying to throw some HIDs on the badboy...is there ANYONE that can help me out that's had a successful install w/ a kit???
Thanks a bunch

I did the same thing (LCI car, projector lens headlights). I posted it as well (don't know the post#, please search).
They worked 99% of the time, and were great then. The strange thing is this: When I was driving and then came to a full stop, they switched off exactly at the moment I stopped. I then got a warning (front headlight malfunction). When I switched off the lights and then back on again, they were OK.
This became annoying, and eventually I replaced them by the original halogens.

It could be that they switched off because some power consumer switched on when the car is stopped, which causes a dip in the battery voltage. If that's the case, you may have more luck if your xenon HV units work on lower voltages than my kit. Good luck and please let me know if you succeed, and if so which brand you bought.
