Does anyone know how to remove the side gills on the E60 M5? I just purchased new side gills in CF and I have no clue on removing the stock ones.

I'm not sure about M5 but have done this with M pack side skirts which I believe are the same.

Unscrew all the plastic fixing from along the underside of the skirts,

unscrew 2X 8mm bolt screws at the front just under the wheel arch and the same at the back,

Open the doors and the pull the skirt hard, (it's held in with plastic clips)

I know it's a bit vague but hope it helps.

It's side gills on the fender. Not side skirt.

Thanks my530i for the clarification . Yes it's on the m5, so it's the side gills on the fender, not the side skirt. Thanks for trying Dav530d.

1.first of all,you need to remove fender from car
2.side grills have 4 clips
3.press clips one by one

Yes. Check with quan717 who used dremmel to cut his fender and fit on "aftermarket" gills from ebay.

100% yes it will work, I have seen a car with them on in HK
but you will need a bodywork shop to cut out the hole.

a hole? It looks like a big section needs to be cut out from the fender right?

These things has a block on them to place the M sticker.. I wonder if I can buy grills w/o the Sticker holder.
