Last night when I was driving, I felt so uneasy that I took off my seat belt and decided to let is Ding all the way home. Although it stopped after about 30 dings, I wanted it to never sound at all. So I thought that if I remove the fuse which says, "Seat Occupancy Sensor", it will stop it from noticing if anyones is on the seat. At least on the passenger side anyways.. What does everyone think? I might give it a try later today, anyone else wanna try and report back? Thanks...

Why would you want to take your seatbelt off - ever????? Like to play Russian roulette, too?

Wear the seatbelt. Helps hold you in place when you're driving hard.

I don't think I'd mess with the seat occupancy sensor -- it might also control if an airbag deploys during an impact (not that it would make too much of a difference if you weren't wearing your seatbelt...)

Sometimes when I'm just driving from my house to my gf's house right down the road, about 500 meters, I don't want to wear my seat belt. Or sometimes when I'm in my school campus just driving from one side to the other, I don't wanna wear seat belt. Other than that, I always wear my seat belt...

Then, if my assumption is correct that tampering with the seat occupancy sensor might affect when the airbag deploys, I'd suggest not screwing around with it. If you must drive without a seat belt, there are other, simpler ways to shut the car up -- just search the forum...

dont touch the fuse cause if you take it out the airbag will never deploy if you are in an accident because the car thinks that no one is in that seat if you crash

Well, even on just 50 meters there can be a drunken idiot that crashes into your car.
Anyways, it's your life...

Buy a spare buckle and plug it in... Or better: SEARCH the forum, there are several threads about this.
