you gotta make sure it sits right and every area of the spoiler touches the windshield, otherwise if air gets underneath it will pull right off. I've had mine on for a while and even hit 145mph without it coming off. once applied you may want to put weight on it

Definitely thanks for the tip...
I'm going to put a towel over it all and straight up plop a few bricks on it lol.

Did I thread jack? I guess its still on topic. Sorry OP.

I had that problem. But I installed in during the Fall/Winter time. Came off. So I waited til summer. On a hot day with 3M tape and silicone glue. Then use lots of blue painter's tape. Followed by duct tape. Put a black garbage bag over the whole thing and let it bake in the sun. Never came off after that.

That isn't a bad idea, when I did mine I put painters tape to hold it down, then put a towel over the roof and trunk spoilers, then put some weights I have in the house and left it there for 12 hrs until everything was set up

No problem with thread jacking, we're all talking about spoiler installs. All very useful tips and I've tried most of these where it was heavily taped down, added weights on top, more tape so wont fall, and let sit for 24 hours. In retrospect, where I went wrong was incorrect placement, and poor glass and weahter-strip surface prep so I might reinstall over the weekend and let it bake in the sun!

i used the extra heavy duty mounting double-sided 3m tape, costs about $5.50 a roll. i find it to work better than the black 3m double-sided tape; this one is a grey color.

I am in North OC. Where did you get your spoiler from? Are you installing over the weather-strip?
