Hi, I have the new cover and everything is almost ready for the switch except for this piece of hardware that is in the way. It is a silver color and it is attached to the driving side of the wiper motor shaft.I though of just cutting the old cover, but this would not work when I need to put the new one in of course.
Any idea?

I brought a puller but it was a cheap one that just kept slipping off so I used pb blaster, and a large grip locking plier. I put the nut back on so the theards would not get messed up then I used the pliers in the inverted position ( with the adjustable part facing up and as tight as I could get them to lock, put one jaw on the but the other on the block and whoola off it came. Do be careful as the pliers will slip and could hit the glass good luck. Took me a hour or two not a lot of room in there and tried numerous other ways the last was the easiest.
