Hi, am about to replace my solenoid valve on my 05 523i. Diagnostics showed that it is faulty. From the TIS, and diagram on RealOEM, it seems pretty straight forward. Anybody tried to change out the solenoid valve (PN: 11367585425) themselves? any issues?
Thanks in advance!

Have you searched DIY thoroughly? I think I may have seen a thread on the solenoid valve a long time ago. That's not my point though. I didn't know that the 523i uses an N52 engine

Yeap, i did a search, only thing close was replacing the O-rings on the solenoid valve. 05 523i does use the N52 engine. And if anybody decides to replace the solenoid valves themselves, make sure the engine is cooled , as the solenoid comes into contact with hot oil in the engine. Risk of scalding if not careful.
