Replacing Screen on non-nav i-Drive.

hey guy's I got a crazy question i was wondering if i could replace that little screen with a bigger screen but keep everything else the same not trying to retrofit the system just want i a bigger screen on my I-drive bcuz after im done with the rest of the setup it be alot better to watch movies on. plus looks nicer

P.S: my bad if im reasking a question but I couldnt find anything just about the screen swap.

u can just put a 8.8" screen but the idrive menu it will be on the first 3/4 of the 8.8" screen from left to right
if u use a modnavy unit the movie will be on the full screen
good luck

thanks for the info, i thought it was just on the small screen nav replacing the screen cause that problem...
so i guess the best thing to do is get the retrofit? or just piece by piece from ebay?

If you code in MASK \ CAPPL

CID: from mid to high, i think that will fix the resolution issue.

^^^ so u suggesting that even if we use MASK u can have a resolution( like with the ccc) if i swap the 6.8. to the 8.8"?

that will be great..

who can verify this?

this is how the i-drive menu screen looks(picture#1) after just swap it with the 8.8"
