Anyone have some pointers/instructions? I need to remove my steering wheel, and put it back on, I would appreciate any pointers or online/picture tutorials if they out there.
Thanks!

Thinking of switching my steering wheel for Sport one with round airbag. I have one on my 6er and I like the look and feel a lot better.
I wonder if removing the airbag will trigger a light of sorts?

Awesome! I've been interested in this mod for sometime now. I want a sportier steering wheel. I'm curious to hear your feedback in the process. I've had difficulty finding what fits a 2004. There appears to be some differences as to what fits certain year models.

that was one of my first mods! keep in mind there are three versions of that wheel: the one in your 6, the MSport version with really thick thumbgrips, and the //M5 one which is the same as the Msport but with higher-grade leather and the tri-color stitching.

Also remember that cars built before 9/05 use a different mount than the later cars, so be careful when ordering from a dealer or buying off eBay.

@ fvicente With my car being a 2004, what options do I have for upgrading my steering wheel?

Did you trigger any lights on the dash after disconnecting all the stuff inside the steering wheel? (all the buttons and airbag assembly?)
No problem Frank :-)
