I used my spare time to refinish the steering wheel leather.

Could you provide details as to where you got the leather and what kind of thread you used?

I've found myself quite handy with sewing, but I haven't done anything with leather. Sounds like it could be a fun project for a rainy day.

Also, could be a great opportunity to retrofit the heated element I lost when I put in a sports steering wheel

Source package with tailer made leather cover; thread ; needle and instruction.

Interested to find out more. My steering wheel is pretty worn out for 55K miles compared to other cars I've owned.
