I was wondering if you guys could help answer my question, i have a 2008 528i, i just recently purchased a front bumper off an 04' 530i. I was wondering if it would fit properly, and also, if it does fit properly, what can i do about the fog light lens? there differently shaped than the ones on my car. thanks :-)

My Ride: 2008 535xi -- took delivery January 24th, 2008 -- Space Gray w/black dakota leather interior and Bamboo Anthracite wood trim, Sport Package / Premium Package / Cold Weather Package / Logic7 / Bluetooth / IPOD / NAV / 18" Star Spoke 124s...BUT I could not resist the M Aero Kit, tinting the windows and adding front/rear blacked-out Roundels
Default

Curious...why are you changing it?

Reason I ask...is because I just got delivery of my 2008 535xi and had the M aero kit installed...curious if you wanted to try to fit my original bumper instead...

At the very minimum you would need to change the foam shock absorbers under the bumper cover as well as get new foglights. I'm assuming that the 04 530i bumper that you got is a regular (non M-Tech) bumper...........but regardless, the bumper foam shock absorbers as well as the foglights are bumper specific, so you would need to buy both of them for either the standard pre-LCI bumper or the M-Tech bumper (depending on which bumper you have).

I would recommend selling the 04 and either having yours repainted or buying a used/new 2008 one. You may be able to find it locally from someone who has installed an M-tech Aero Kit on their 2008.........or if you've been thinking of getting the M Aero kit for your car this would be a good time to do it.
