Default Problem with front PDC sensors.

Hi,

Sorry if this has been done to death but I can't find an exact match for my problem.

My car is an 05 535d E60 and I am having trouble with the front PDC sensors. When I select reverse I get a continuous tone and the PDC graphic on the screen shows as if something is right in front of the car (which there isn't).

I have cleaned the bumper and sensors with no change.

I checked the PDC control unit and reseated the connectors which made no difference. The unit was dry.

I have checked the sensors and they are all clicking away. Can they (all) still be faulty or is it likely something else is causing it, wiring for example.

Any advice would be appreciated as I don't want to replace all the sensors unless I have a pretty good idea they are all faulty.

Kind Regards

Steve
