Forgive me digging up an old thread, but I'm looking to change the P/S fluid on my 09 535i Xdrive. Looking through a few threads on here and elsewhere, it seems my car has a different hose routing setup than what I'm seeing.

On the driver side there is a hose coming off the bottom of the reservoir with a quick disconnect, a few inches above the radiator petcock. It seems like this wouldn't drain much fluid since it's only coming from the reservoir.

On the passenger side there is a line down by lower corner of the radiator there is another similar quick disconnect:

The line on the passenger side seems like it would be the right line to disconnect, but I'd like to confirm before pulling it.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks

~Z

Well I just said screw it and used a turkey baster to remove the fluid from the reservoir. Filled it with CHF11S, turned the car on and went lock to lock a few times, then removed the fluid again and did a final fill with CHF11S. Used 2 quarts of fluid total.
