My Ride: BMW E60 520d SE Saloon M47 2.0dTitanium Grey II, Grey−Dakota Leather, Visibility Package, Media Package, Through Load System, Lumbar support − fr seats, Automatic Air Conditioning−Advanced, High beam assistant, Hi−Fi Loudspeak

I guess HUD is doable:
1. You'll need the above unit ($500 estimate)
2. New windscreen ($500)
3. New dashboard ($700)
4. New light cluster switch ($150)

Estimated part costs = $1850
Dealer reprogram = $200
========================
Total HUD retrofit cost = ~ $2000
Is it worth it? You answer it.
Cut cost? Claim insurance on windscreen. Bad boyz!
Dashboard from junkyard $100 - $200? Maybe.
Anyway, it's just for a fun estimate. Use at your own risk
