it does require quite a bit of programming, but all the tech has to do is click on three or four confirmation buttons and walk away for a few hours. I saw it done, it is not that big a deal.

yes mate, i have 2 compleate sets still for sale.

to confirm again, this is a VERY easy retro fit, if you dont know what your doing it will take you about 4 hours in total, if you do its about 2 hours, its all plug and play, the only drama is fitting the new high i drive controller, you do not need to change your sharks fin ariel (just use a small GPS one)
i have done 3 cars now, and 2 did not need any programing at all.
the 3rd one (mine ) needed programing as the car would not recognise the PDC on the new 8.8 widescreen but it only cost ?125

this retro fit is a walk in the park.

Thank's Dave for letting me know,is it possible to talk to you with regard's to purchasing one of your unit's and getting it fitted by you(when you have time) if you could do it,another so called specialist is saying that i'll have to purchase a retrofit loom as my car may not be able to accept the new unit and programming the satnav to be done for it to be accepted by all the other module',is he talking BS!I'll send you a PM with my contact detail's mate.Finally the other car's you had done mate did they come with a standard CD player and low i-drive like mine?

new loom???? rubbish the connectors on the back of your single disc cd are the same as on the back of the dvd/cd on the pro nav CCC unit, its all plug and play even if you have a basic spec car with no multi changer etc

there could be a half hour of programing cost is around ?125 but you might be lucky, if your car does not have PDC then you can get away with it.
the extra wires are
fan wiring harness and voice harness/microphone
plus a GPRS ariel

this retro fit is easier than changing your brake pads.
dont beleive the bull you hear from people that have not done it, i have personally fitted 3, and there all perfect. (1 to my own car)

you sure about that? there was one end on the old cable that wouldn't fit on the new ccc and monitor, although I don't remember which one now (it's been four months since I did the retrofit.) it was keyed differently. Perhaps the EU version of the base cable is different, or the business nav already has the same LVDS cable as the prof nav.

you do not need to replace any wiring harnesses; however, you do need to add a few connections to the existing harness if you don't already have business nav. there's three wires to be added for the CCC's fan, and if your car is built before 10/2004 you need to run a speed sense wire to the CAS module under the steering wheel. it will work without that speed sense, but your motion will be a bit blocky. You also will not have any motion when the car first moves as it won't have a GPS lock yet. I didn't connect mine at first, thinking I didn't need it, but I noticed the icon wouldn't move for the first 90-120 seconds after I got in the car. I ran the missing wire and now the icon moves immediately.

hi felix, the cars must have different wiring because i did 2 cars that were pre 2004 and they were cloth spec with no nav at all, and i did not need a speed sence cable, and yes i have re used every LVDS cable they are exactly the same on all cars here in uk.

in the uk you need to add voice harness cable and mic, and wire up the fan wiring harness, plus fit an aftermarket GPRS ariel
but its easy peasy, i think a novice could fit this retrofit pro nav, it was the i-drive controller that was a right royal pain in the ar*e
but i have it off to a pat now.
