Hey, like you said...It can always be fixed, right??? I was just worried that my patience w/the kids and wife were gonna push me over the edge to drop the jack on my head...I was really being tested yesterday for about an hour...

My hubs and rotors look like crap and was considering painting them as well. What type of paint did you use and how long does it take to dry? Any other tips from your experience would be appreciated.

Thanks

Scott

Typical auto parts store...Ithink it was Dupli spray caliber paint (shake the can and hear the ball type)... It drys really quick. The whole job from start to finish is about 3-4 hrs, becuase of jacking, taking the wheels off, sanding/using toothbrush size metal brush, taping off the areas, and then putting multiple layers of paint. I probably did about 5-6 coats on each.

My advice get a 3 ton jack and use the BMW jack to push up one whole side at a time. If you do one wheel at a time, it will add another hour or 2.

I have very little patience and am not mechanically inclined and I have to say that this was very simple. Just takes time. You'll love the after effect.

GL!!
