I have a bodyshop replacing my standard rear bumper with the BMW OEM Mtech rear bumper. It looks like the new OEM bumper just came with the main bumper cover and the diffuser.
As far as I know, when you buy the full Mtech kit, it comes with replacement brackets. Just buying the OEM Mtech rear bumper doesn't.
Anyways, the installer says that he got the bumper installed but had a little issue with the mounting brackets as the standard brackets are different from the Mtech brackets.
He says that the bumper is holding up, it looks good, and I shouldn't worry about getting the actual brackets.
Should I worry? How can I buy just those brackets? According to the Mtech Kit instructions, the bracket parts are AF, AG, and AH. Where can I get them? what are their part numbers?

if you dont change the brackets on the sides, the lower sides of the bumper will be pushed out more than normal.
also, there is a different small bracket that helps support the rear bottom of the bumper.

you'd have to remove the bumper to replace the side brackets. and yes, you reuse the existing screws. you also have to trim the wheel well liner a little.
if you search, there are instructions on how to install the mtech.
