one goes hand in hand with the other... when they do the mp3 programming or CDC enable the whole car gets upgraded. I guess they don't have the option to just code one specific module but rather everything gets updated and then the proper options are enabled along the way. At least that is what I have been told.

That's what I also assumed. Hoped that it would be different. I hope even more that cleaning the Ipod works.....
You read the thread I linked in my previous mail? I got exactly the same problem.....

Ok. So I tried Schulrog's advice: I cleaned out my entire Ipod. Back to factory settings, I even had to name the device. I did put only one artist on the Ipod.

Unfortunately, IT DIDN'T WORK

Really don't know what to do. If Schulrog is right, the recoding won't work either. According to Schulrog, all they do is add Ipod/cd-changer. I've already got a cd-changer!

This is the article# of the interface: 65410415655. Is this the correct interface?

My cd-changer does not play mp3's (the singl cd/dvd does!). Could it be that the dealer has to activate mp3 for the changer?

HELP

I'll try to check tomorrow what that part# is that you have. I think it's the interface for vehicles without CDC prewiring but not 100% sure.

Schulrog,

The part# I mentioned, isn't the # on the interface itself. It's the # of the whole set. My dealer ordered it, based on my VIN#, so it should be ok. I don't think it's the interface for cars without the CDC. In that case, I should have an extra MOST cable for M-ASK => Interface?

I'll check the part# with my parts manager, too.

Btw, thanks for your help!

+1
It's really annoying that it isn't working!

I've got a good dealership (2 of the salesman are friends of mine, the parts manager always gives me good discount and the head-mechanic services my car in his spare time), but I have to pay the full amount for reprogramming.
I would do that, but only if I'm 100% certain that it's gonna work!

The # on the interface itself are: 65.41-0411 033 07. On my bill, it says the part# I mentioned earlier.
