On my Windows 7 64-bit box I have Windows XP Mode (Virtual PC) installed. Inpaload and NCSExpert both load up fine. How do I get the USB cable to be seen in the Virtual PC? I ran the obdsetup.exe and it looks like it worked fine but I don't think it connecting.

I also tried my netbook which is running Windows XP 32 natively. First of all, it did not have ANY com ports showing. So, I manually added a COM port made it com port 1 and set it according to the DIY. Again nothing is showing.

Is there something that's missing from the DIY as to how to set up the USB com ports?

When I get home I will review the contents of the CD I got with the cable. When I looked at it a couple of days ago, it had tons of directories and files.

OK, I installed the FTDI drivers (windows update found them) so now my Windows 7 has the USB cable attached to COM1.
The problem now is that it won't attach in my XP Mode Virtual PC. When I click 'USB..D-CAN..attach' I get an error "Could not attach the USB device. You can attach the USB device to a different USB port or restart the virtual machine and try again."

I restarted the Virtual PC but I still get the same error. Any ideas?
