also i think they problem with the amps turning onwhen you open the door is because the car wakes up from sleep cause my radar does the same thing when i press the unlock.

Is the amps grounded properly? If it is not grounded properly then it may cause the signal cut off. Ive seen this issue in other vehicles, once grounded properly the problem was resolved. GL!
