I really want to do this too... I'm seeing guys with 4700's and 4150's, maybe others???

Which ones should I order? I'd like them to match the XENONs as close as possible.

I'm happy with the silverstars, but if they blow or give me any problems then ill look on ebay rather then pay the NY price. Let me guess in So. Cal you probably pay 7 bucks for a pizza too?

Ya 7 bucks for pizza? THATS EXPENSIVE!!!! its $5 Ok ok its gross pizza but it can be done.

Honestly So Cal pricing is catching up to NY. its not that much of a difference anymore not as BIG I mean. Before like 5-7 years ago oh man everything was CHEAPer here compared to NY.

P.S. I was born there and my moms side of the family is all there so I goto NY quite often. Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, Staten Island.

I think 4150K will match the Xenons BEST but I have not seen them in person. I'm only going off what I remember reading... but I like the 4700K that I'm running.

I have the PIAA 4150K fogs, which match the xenons (which are 4200K) very well. I originally installed the 4700K fogs, but they had more of a bluish tint than the xenons. Here's a thread with pix:

The 4150K bulbs are not sold in the US, but I found them on eBay for $55, and I noticed that the guy I got mine from has some on eBay now.

Just to add to the subject if you have headlamp cleaners you may want to do the passenger side fog light first so you can get a feel for what you are doing, because when you do the drivers side fog light the washer fluid tank is in front of the headlamp and you cannot see what you are doing.

If you have done the passenger side first it should be easy to do without seeing it on the drivers side

4150k matches best in my opinion

AH no wonder it took me 30 mins to do the drivers then only 3 mins to do the passenger! I knew somthing was different... I didnt even have to take out the wheel well for the passenger side... I just unscrewed like 4 screws and reached in there...

They don't import the 4150K PIAA bulbs to the US, so I got mine on eBay. See link in my post above for bulb size and other info.

I ordered bulbs from car toys but am not sure these are the right ones. Anybody use this type? Will they fit? The base looks to be a bit shorter than the ones in your picture...

They sound ok...

Do they look like this? Brown tip is the OEM Phillips bulb and the Blue tip is the PIAA bulbs... they work fine...

Yes they do, but the metal base appears a bit shorter than the original...should be ok. I have 4550K so will post how they look...I expect they will be a bit bluer than the headlights, however.

What is the highest wattage anyone has installed?
