My Ride: '05 545i, silver gray, black leather with anthracite maple wood, sport package, premium sound, navigation, cold weather package, electric rear sunshade, folding rear seat, satellite radio prep, PIAA 4150K fogs, red rear reflectors, hardwired Valentine One
Do the PIAA 4700K bulbs match the xenon headlights exactly, or are they a bit more bluish? I had PIAA Xtreme White 4150K fogs on my Carrera and they matched the xenons perfectly. From what I understand the BMW xenons are 4200K.
Also, when not illuminated, does the PIAA 4700K bulb cause a blue shadow in the fog light reflector, due to the blue tint of the glass and blue painted point?

You said BMWs Xenons are 4200K? Do you know what are other manufactures? I'm curious... like Mercedes, Porsche, Audi, etc etc. Is there a place to find out?

[/quote]Porsche is also around 4200K--the PIAA 4150K fog bulbs matched my Carrera xenons perfectly--bright white with virtually no blue hue. On my '03 E55 and they looked the same, so I suspect most high end cars have similar Kelvin rated xenons.
Do you have any pix with the lights off, so I can see how noticeable the blue tint is?
