Hello Guys

I am thinking to install the M5 Gear Cover but i don't want to modify it in order to shift to P, so I need to do a modification in order to take key out when in 'N'.

Can anyone help ?

correct me if im wrong, but with the steptronics, it is not possible to take out the key when in N. in that thread that bmw posted, nick just posted pics of a 530 step with replaced both knob and panel with the boot. i think with that, you still have to shift it into park in order to take out the key, but you won't see a P indicator anywhere except in the driver's cockpit where it usually says what gear you are in.

Who says...my keys are now taken out at N position...i don't have to shift to P...

to tell you the truth, i don't know how, cause this wasn't a diy...i did this mod at a local specialist here...but to show you that it works as said, i'll post video clips later ...
