My door entry strips (sill protectors) have white marks under the protective coating.
It looks like some sort of corrosion or the protective coating breaking down.
Does anyone know how to either remove the protective coating or clean the white marks.
The door entry strips are the M type (not illuminated).
Cheers,
Poolie

I thought that the protective film was removed when the car was ready for the first owner. On other brands I have just pealed it off.Is this film the protection you are talking about?

No it's a different type of coating, not the usual thin flimsy cover that is like you said removed before delivey, this is more like a thick plastic which appears brittle and won't peel.
I'll get some pics of the problem and post them.

Here's a photo of the entry strip and the white marks.
Hopefully the photo works

See what you mean ,I've seen similar on alloy wheels when winter road salt has got under the protective lacquer. It looks like a costly replacement rather than refurbishment.

?160 to replace all four strips, maybe not the best time of year to repalce these given your comment about road salt.
I was hoping someone knew a way of dressing them up.

a strategically placed black strip to cover the bottom up would be your only way by the looks of things . They seem damaged under the protective coating and you aint gonna ever recreate that perfectly tbh ,

or but the new ones
