My Ride: 2004 E60 530i, 2012 E70 X5 35i
Model Year: 2004
I was able to put 9006 HID 6000k's on my foglights last nite.
it was a 35watt kit I received from California, about 80 dollars shipped. I figured its fog lights and I dont want to spend 200-300 dollars on a kit.
I installed it and it works, but, you received an error message and of course the wattage is off so the light fluctuates.
I did get a cable from china, which get's rid of the error message and fixes the current for the bulbs.
Here is the link to the cable.
I'll take pics soon.
Also, as mentioned, the 50watt kit for HID is about 200 dollars shipped, which I didnt want to pay. THe cables were 25 dollars. So in the end, total was about 105 dollars for HID foglights, 6000k, and boy they are bright!!

(it took roughly a week and a half to get the cable from china)

Would I also have to get this cable for the headlights as well...or only for fogs...assuming I'm doing 35w kit for the headlights??
