First post here, just got my car. Ill be building these modules anyway, but after reading through the schematic information I have the following questions...

As far as I can tell so far, circuit one is to 'fake' the load of a light bulb as well as remove the led 'bulb out blinks' on the turn signal. If you coded out the rear light checks using NCS Expert, you could basically get rid of circuit one right?

As well, im getting lost on circuit 4. To my half educated self, it appears that when the brakes are applied (IN4_BRAKELIGHT), the C5 capacitor starts to charge (ignoring the functions occuring in circuit 3). Once C5 has charged and spilled over, it sends voltage to the Q8 mosfet gate and closes that connection allowing the power to go through Diode D2, out to the tubes. However, it appears that the IN4_BRAKELIGHT is the only source of voltage/power so.....why is D2 needed, why does C4 exist and what provides the dimmer "running light" voltage for OUT_LEDLIGHTS?

I know these are probably stupid questions, but Im trying to study up the diagram and know how it all works before I attempt to build these bad boys
