seanddd,

Yes I will be using Pentosin ATF1, I'm draining out as much fluid as possible. I don't think it will be an issue since it meets or exceeds ZF Lifeguard6.....

The valve body rebuild didn't solve the problem, so I'm biting the bullet and rebuilding the transmission (6hp19X) - may even involve a "new"used torque converter.

I guess it's too soon to tell if the problem is solved, right? Or was this preventative (no time to go back and read).

Default I'll know in 2 weeks.

Im smiling, I just don't know if the Jolt (when coming to a stop is fixed), I should know in 2 weeks or less, that's how long it takes to come back after resetting adaptations.

Gmak, are you getting a jolt when coming to a stop or 2-1 slipping problems?

TeflonDon, how heavy is the valve body when removed from the tranny box? Some videos suggest that a jack be used to support its weight. Could you support it by hand while taking off the last bolts?

I will be doing the same thing in 2 weeks, I've been having this 2-1 jolt (coming to a full stop) and 1-2 or 2-3 clunk. I have ordered 8 liters of Lifeguard 6 fluids, didn't want to take a chance.

Default Supporting Valve while removing

The valve body is heavy, but not so heavy to where you can't support it by both one hand while removing the last bolt. Then support by two hands lol. Make sure you have decent clearance while under the vehicle when bring the valve body out.
