IPOD movies and videos

My Ride: E61 sold nice E91 335i Sport Touring now
I know that an Ipod can be connected and i-drive recognises it and plays the music but I was wondering if it will also play the movies?
Would be handy for entertaining the kids without taking the portable dvd's!

You can do this but you are going to need a Dension Gateway 500 and AVR or ACM or Nav-Tv.

So there isn't a cheap way to do this. Oh well I'll stick with the dvds in the headrests for a while.
