Hi Everyone,

I just got an E60 530i and i ordered some carbon fiber emblems for the hood/trunk/steer wheel and all 4 center caps.

I was wondering if you guys had any tips before i get started? or if you know of any you tube vids/threads explaining how to?

thanks in advance!!

for the hood and trunk, you can take a flathead screwdriver (maybe 2) and wrap the tips with a microfiber towel. you will need to try to get underneath the roundel and pry it off, aiming for the 2 prongs on each side (as seen on the aftermarket roundels). some prefer to use painter's tape and tape off the area around the roundels for extra security. as for the steering wheel, it should stick on top the existing steering wheel roundel.

Beware of much dirt trapped under hood Roundel, use microfiber and detailer spray as you work. Do not apply pressure onto paint surface while removing old Roundel.

Suction cup is also available from Harbor Freight, item #46900.

Also if the thought of using a screwdriver anywhere near your paint work scares the crap out of you (although it does work) try using an old credit card down either side (3 o'clock and 9 o'clock positions) and gently pry it off, thats what I used, worked a charm
