I bought my set at E bay which is aftermarket but I noticed that the torx are the same as in my original aluminum pedals on my 325 M sport.
1. I put double adhesive tape on the aluminum pedals so I can position it perfectly.
2. The footrest is hollow in the inside so I just drilled and installed the self tapping screws.
3. I also did the same for the accelerator and the brake pedal.
Finished in 10 minutes using a portable drill, 3M heavy duty double tapes, Torx set and scissors.
Picture below I hope we are referring to the same M Tech racing pedals

Any pics? What exactly do the pedals sit on top of now?
Brake Pedal: Remove the rubber cover and the Aluminum pedal mounts to the metal base underneath.
Dead Pedal: Aluminum pedal mounts directly over the existing dead pedal

After installing countless peddle sets over the years i've come to the conclusion that using the nuts and bolts provided usually does not pan out and are hard to tighten up. My solution is to use pop rivets.

For me I like the hi-tech look of the torx than rivetting it.
Thanks!

I'm new to this "pop rivets" thing. What do I need should I decide to use that vs. the provided nuts and bolts?

Very nice! Where'd you get your pedal set?

I got mine from flea bay a few years back. I was tired of having to re-torque my clutch and brake pedals every few months and as i was thumbing through a an issue of european car i saw a pilotti ad which had some shoes sitting next to some pedals ina car. At 1st glance the allen bolts looket like rivets so i gave them a whirl. 2 years later they have not budged. You can get a cheap pop rivet gun from harbor freight. An added bonus for those with the peanut butter interiors is you can get brass rivets. The ACS style pedals can get slippery when wet and i eventually plan on using some skateboard grip tape for superb pedall grip.

I just glued mine on with rubber cement.
Thanks for the tips. I have to put my AC ones on tomorrow and will use the double sided tape suggestion. Good job.
