Hi guys

I just debadged my 525i tags with the floss & 3M adhesive removed. Worked like a charm. It took me 3 minutes!

But the emblem left a mark. Not sure exactly how to explain it, but you can still see the marking it has left on the car. It's like a shallow 525i mark on it.

Any ideas on how to remove that?

Thanks

I think most 528i drivers cover it with an M5 badge.

Seriously, is it adhesive? If so, try some "Goo Gone".

Haha, no I don't want to put an m5 badge or replace it with anything. I see alot of those and I don't like it lol. I just like the clean look without the tags.

It's not adhesive.

It's like.. For example. You lay on the bed for 5 days, and when you get up you see a shape on your body on the bed.... It left a mark like that on my car, a faint 525i mark...

I cant find the words to explain it, so I gave an example!!!

how old is ur car?

If the badge has been there too long, the paint that was covered by the paint wasnt much exposed to the sun,dirt,dust,etc... and thus is different.

But people have fixed this before

Well it's 525. So newest 525 is 2007 model, at least 2 years.

when I did mine, it was in a shop, so I just had some wet sanding done and then some clear coat applied. That said, at a certain angle, it is still a little visible.

It's 2004 year model

It's not adhesive sticking, it's just a faint mark that was embedded by the 525i tag. See the example I provided above, I cannot find the right words to explain it
