You can put 20" wheels on E60, but there is some stuff you need to pay attention to (like fitting any other sized wheel):
- The bolt pattern must be 5x120
- The hub bore should be the exact fit 72,6mm, but it is possible to mount a wheel with a larger hub bore also. In that case you HAVE to use hubcentric rings to make it a tight fit. You may find some wheels with 74,1mm hub bore (E39) for example. If it's not a tight fit, you will definitely have serious vibration problems.
- Make sure the offset (ET number) of the wheels is correct. It's impossible to say one exact ET number, because it all depends on the width of the wheel and the fact that are we talking about the front wheel or a rear wheel.
- Along the right offset, you have to pay attention to the width of the wheel.
- Use the right tire sizes. The recommended tire size for 20" wheels in E60 would be 245/30 in front and 275/25 for rear. However, many members on this forum have been able to use 245/35 for front and 275/30 for rear on 20" rims, but some of them have had rubbing problems.

Do some searching on the forum and you will find lots of examples of what wheel sizes/widths/offsets work with the E60. Vendors will help you too for sure!

I hope this helps!

ps. And welcome to the forums!
