i have been trying really hard to do the createidxurl.pl coversion , and it just won't work for me , i have subscribed to pocketgps to get the files i need , i have had a bad week so maybe i am just being stupid , but normally i can do things like this though i have never worked with perl before , i realise i could get the software, but i really want to do this myself , i do not like being beaten by a machine , i'm running vista , i have done all mathmos other steps , but sadly either the programs have changed and no longer do what you want them to , or i am stoopid ,
where should i have the createidxurl file located where should i have the pocketgps.asc file ,
i don't know if the how to assumes at least a basic knowledge ,
i have bmw profnav and my disc is road map europe professional 06-1
basically am having problems creating the idx url files from .asc
i have searched the internet and no-one has an answer i understand

never mind i think i have managed to do it , i was trying like hell on vista , but i went on my desktop which is xp and eventually i got it work it took some doing though , i have learnt a lot !!!!!
