How do you jack this car up?

My Ride: 2008 Sapphire Black on Black M5 - loaded sans soft close doors

The jacking points have rectangular plastic housings for the standard car jack. Can you put a regular jack under those and jack up the car using them? Can they actually hold the car up? Or is there another jacking point that I'm not aware of. Best case would be someone who made a jack saddle adapter to fit in the rectangular plastic housings.

PS - yes I searched, could not find anything definitive on this.

Block of wood works fine. 2 1/4" (L) X 1 1/4" (W) and 3/4" or more high. hard wood i.e. maple works.

Would a 2x4 cut down work ok? I just realized my jack saddle is the smaller type and it does not fit well over the jack point.
