My Ride: ***SOLD*** 2006 530xi Sapphire Metallic Black with Auburn Dakota Leather Sport Seats, Dark Poplar Wood Trim,Cold, Premium,Premium Sound,Sport Package Steptronic,Active Cruise Control
Comfort access, Comfort Seats, Front and Rear Heated seats Adaptive Headlights, Idrive, Navigation, Bluetooth, Sirius Radio, Ipod Interface ACS roof, ACS trunk spoiler, front ACS bumper spoiler with carbon fiber lip and carbon pillars. 20% tints all around. 19' Bremmer rims.
It look me around 20 minutes from start to finish. I removed the map light housing and hardwired my radar detector to the green wire and grounded the black wire to a screw. Its extremely easy to do and best of all you dont have to mess around with fuses. The hardwire kits should come with everything you need. i bought my escort at best buy and they sold the kit with a mute button attached to it. I'm installing my ipod interface on saturday and finally posting pictures of my car so while I'm doing that if you want I'll remove the map light this weekend and post some pictures for you.

it's simple....there are 2 wires....figure out which one is + and route that one to the fuse box, and use a "piggy back" connector, or "fuse tap" connector
and find a "ignition on" fuse, like wipers, windows, etc..and put the piggy back there and connect the + wire from the radar to it. The other wire (-) gets grounded anywhere...thats it!
