You got a HID-Kit that doesn't have a canceller integrated which causes the xenon gas to flicker due to an LCU (Light Control Unit) error. Since you installed them already, the seller will most likely not take them back which leaves you only with the option of buying another HID-Kit such as these: http://www.aftermarketbulbsshop.com/product-p/hid-k.htm. They are made specifically for BMW's and are guaranteed not to cause errors or flickering.

i have ones for sale for $155 shipped and no error messages and no flicker. What you'll need are error cancelling cables and they are not guaranteed to work. PM me if you want more info.

I found that out the hard way. Error cancelling cables don't work. Just because a ballast is digital doesn't guarantee no flickering or error either. The best is to get a ballast that is designed for BMW's to begin with to ensure compatibility.

Don't panic! I fitted HIDs to my 545 a few months ago. I'm in the UK, and they only cost ?50.When I switched on, they flickered constantly, especially when the engine was running. I contacted the seller and bought a couple of capacitor kits, which fit between the ballast and the light. Absolutely no further trouble. Apparently, the problem is that the HIDs have no resistance and can cause all sorts of warnings, flickering, cutting off without these capacitors. The extra packs were ?15. None of it expensive. Good luck!

Absolutely no probs with the boys in blue. Good defined beam pattern, I've never been flashed, but get the 6000Ks as they are not too blue. Pics to follow when I get a minute.

+1 on the 6000K--very close to Xenon.
