I got 166 19`inch rim. They looks nice but not very durable. Recent misjudge a corner and hitted the kerb leaving an ugly scratch mark on it with paints off.

Is there a way to do DIY fix ? what should i get ?
Suggestion welcome.

My friend check with dealer, they can take the rim and repaint it, but costs 400 AUD.
I am looking for a cheaper alternative.

I will post photo later.

I did something similar here in Uk. I tried DIY but had no luck. Looked bad!.
I used a company called ChipsAway here, which is a mobile service. It cost ?50 but I cannot see where they repaired it, 1st class job.

Maybe this will help:

http://www.bmwtips.com/tipsntricks/wheel-r...cuff-repair.htm

Also i have an ugly scratched rim like the one in the link but on 80% of the radius but i didn't find the proper repair items. Maybe there where the market is developed you'll have better luck.

Cheers!

I have used the mothed with the same paint, though the color is very identical, but the finish is not the same as the undamaged part of the rim, just not as glossy.
