Help with disassembling M5 Mirrors

My Ride: 2007 530i, build 03/06, European delivery 05/05/06, Mystic Blue Metallic, Beige Dakota leather and Poplar Grain wood trim. Options: Sport Package, Active Steering, Park Distance Control, Premium Package, and Cold Weather Package. Upgrades: BMW Ellipsoid (Styling 121) cast alloy wheels, AC Schnitzer Aerodynamics Kit, 3M Clear Bra, and RaceMesh Grill.
Looking for instruction on how to disassemble M5 mirrors. I want to get a pair of M5 mirrors painted and the body shop does not want to disassemble the mirrors. I checked with another body shop and they do not want to be responsible if anything is broken while mirrors are disassembled.

Its very easy... ask my530i for instructions... hes done like several of them for members... I watched him do it during one of our meets... Both mirrors changed in 15 mins...

I am not asking how to install the mirrors, but how to disassemble the E60 M5 Mirrors for painting.
